InanItah is an earth based spiritual community, developing Eco-Sprit Village and living and learning center, located on Isla de Ometepe, Nicaragua. We are excited to invite people to join us and to support the project: teachers and students, builders and gardeners, coordinators and communicators, organizers and artists. People with time and a desire to share and to learn.

Our community is founded on Eco-village design principals which conclude that a conscious evolving lifestyle requires a multi-dimensional approach, involving the cultivation of healthy relationships, regenerative ecological practices, alternative economies, and a supportive relationship with self and the cosmos.

(1) Community Kitchen Person
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are looking for an enthusiastic, food-inspired person to manage the community kitchen. Ideally, someone well organized, with experience in community or or commercial kitchens. Speaking Spanish is a nice addition but not completely necessary.
An interest in healthy, holistic cooking methods is welcomed, and this position provides opportunity to develop those methods. We're always open to recipes for the recipe book that is already full of delectable treats from sprouted corn chocolate tamales to curried squash soup and raw green salad dressing. There is also room to experiment with medicinal herbs from our garden.
Our kitchen mainly uses seasonally available whole and organic foods, including a variety of fresh tropical fruits and vegetable along with whole grains. The vast majority are sourced either from our garden or from within 10 miles of our location. We have a primarily vegetarian diet, with meat and dairy products occasionally available. We are an ecologically minded community and run on renewable energies. Cooking is done on both fire and gas stoves and we operate without refrigeration. If you are interested in joining us on beautiful Ometepe Island to bring inspiration, organization and creativity to our kitchen, please contact us!
Please see inanitah.blogspot.com for details.
There is a beautiful four-ringed double dug keyhole mandala garden, along with some additional garden beds scattered around, root vegetable fields and a small crop of mung beans and corn, as well as an herb spiral.
