Summerhill -- Program Representative
Go Low Flow Summer 2010
Various locations, Peel region

Summerhill is dedicated to developing, implementing and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to better choices for the environment.

We are currently seeking numerous outgoing, dynamic and environmentally-focused field representatives in Peel for a one-day water conservation event.

Key responsibilities will include set up of event area, engaging and educating customers about the program and water conservation, providing excellent customer service and assisting program participants with applications for instant incentives.

This position is a part time contract for one day and one evening of training.

Training: In-person on Tuesday, August 10th 2010 from 6pm -- 9pm

Event date: Saturday, August 14th, 2010
From Open to Close -- 7am -- 10:30pm (shifts will vary -- see below)

Shift times vary depending on location -- please see below.

Job Description:
* Greet and engage customers by providing program specific education and information
* Work as part of a team to assist customers in selecting a qualified toilet and completing instant rebate application form on their behalf
* Provide education regarding water use and conservation -- training to be provided
* Peel representatives: Attend mandatory in person training on Tuesday, August 10th 2010 from 6pm -- 9pm
* Work complete shifts on Saturday, August 14th, 2010 (shift hours listed below)
* Complete administration and reports as required
* Assist with managing large crowds of program participants

Job Skill Requirements:
* Outgoing personality -- must be able to proactively approach consumers and engage them in conversation
* Positive attitude -- must leave the public with a clear directive on how they can conserve water in a positive way
* Be interested in, and genuinely concerned about water conservation issues and/or other environmental issues
* Currently enrolled in, or completed post-secondary education
* Detail-oriented when completing program administration and application forms
* Punctual, conscientious and able to multi-task
* Have a friendly and professional manner and appearance
* Committed to providing exceptional customer service
* Able to recognize significant or sensitive issues and know when to escalate them to the Project Manager
* Able to complete training and committed to the complete shift on both event dates
